Kim Parkan, DPT                               Physical Therapist

Kim graduated from University of the Pacific in 2004 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting since the time of graduation and throughout these 17 years has continued to deepen her knowledge base through continuing education. She is a Fellow of Applied Functional Science through the Gray Institute, where she completed a 40-week fellowship in 2015 in which she deepened her knowledge in the principles, strategies and techniques to help improve human movement, limit pain and improve daily function. She has also completed the series of Functional Soft Tissue Transformation courses in order to strengthen her manual therapy skills. With this background she has found highly effective tools to lessen soft tissue dysfunctions, and help provide faster and longer lasting results for patients.

Kim has a lifelong background in swimming and water polo, and enjoys snowboarding, hiking and other outdoor activities. She has always been fascinated by the human body and all of its unique, dynamic intricacies and finds great pleasure in guiding patients to restore function and decrease their limitations while at the same time increasing their own body awareness and overall health. Kim enjoys being an advocate for patients to restore proper function and enhance movement in order to excel in their lives.
